Land Acknowledgement
I respectfully acknowledge that our headquarters in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is located on Treaty 1 Territory. These are the original lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. I also acknowledge that our water is sourced from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, connecting the physical land directly to the vital, everyday systems that sustain us.
For me, a land acknowledgement cannot just be a corporate box to check. I carry the weight of Truth and Reconciliation with me every single day. I acknowledge the historic and ongoing harms caused by colonization, and I believe it is my personal responsibility to let this truth influence the decisions I make, not just in business, but everywhere I go. True reconciliation requires much more than a written statement. It requires a daily, active commitment to self-education, dismantling systemic barriers, and continually striving to do better as an individual. This brings us to a critical question of how we tie this personal commitment directly into the structural mandates of this consultancy.
What "Doing Better" Actually Means
For us, doing better is not a vague promise. It is an operational mandate. We believe that corporate Canada has a vital role to play in economic reconciliation.
We integrate the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action #92 directly into our consulting framework. When we audit an organization, we actively look for ways to ensure their foundational policies and daily workflows uplift Indigenous and Two-Spirit peoples. We help our clients build procurement pipelines that support Indigenous-owned businesses, and we redesign hiring structures to foster genuinely safe, equitable economic participation. We strive to make inclusive operations the permanent baseline across the country.
This consultancy was born from a deeply personal reality where good intentions and beautifully written policies do not automatically create safety.
I previously worked inside an organization that checked every inclusion box on paper. Yet, in practice, true safety was missing. Because of a profound lack of structural transparency, simply identifying as a member of the 2SLGBTQI+ community left me feeling profoundly exposed and unsupported.
But this story isn’t just mine. Over the years, I have witnessed peers throughout our community face that exact same isolation across countless other workplaces. I have seen community members receive undignified treatment as customers simply trying to access basic services. I saw firsthand how an unequipped employee culture, rigid procedures, and reactive management can quietly override an organization's best intentions.
If your own team does not respect or understand the policies you put in place, those written commitments ultimately lose their impact.
That stark disconnect between executive policy and daily reality is exactly what inspired me to build this company. Nobody should have to navigate hidden barriers just to thrive in their workplace or access a service. We all deserve to feel fundamentally safe wherever we work and anywhere we go.
Our Mission
To transform internal workplaces and public-facing environments into spaces that are genuinely equitable for everybody. We challenge the status quo by partnering with proactive leaders to replace surface-level initiatives with concrete structural action, ensuring compliance is never a barrier itself.
Our Vision
A Canadian landscape where inclusive operations are the effortless, permanent baseline. We envision a future where every employee, customer, and visitor can participate safely, and where hidden systemic barriers no longer exist.
Our Core Values
Action Over Optics: We believe that true inclusion is measured by everyday mechanics and genuine culture, not just public messaging. We prioritize structural readiness over performative checklists.
Intersectional Safety: We recognize that true equality requires looking at the whole picture. This definition is so central to our work that it is permanently reflected directly in our logo. When we remove a barrier for one marginalized group, we strive to elevate the experience for all BIPOC, 2SLGBTQI+, and disabled individuals.
Seamless Integration: The path to inclusion should not be exhausting. We take the complexity out of the audit process, acting as the bridge between executive vision and daily workflows so you can focus on what you do best.
Strength in Numbers: We believe in the undeniable power of community. By fixing underlying organizational systems, we create a rising tide that supports everyone who interacts with your brand.
